True Position Manufacturing was proud to serve as a sponsor for Olympic Steel’s annual Make-A-Wish event at Modern Woodmen Park in July. The Quad Cities River Bandits won the ballgame against the Clinton Lumberkings, and attendees also enjoyed a beer and wine tasting, silent auction, and raffle.
All proceeds benefited Make-A-Wish Iowa. A portion of the pre-purchased tickets helped grant the wish of Brandon, an 8-year-old from Clinton, Iowa, who is heroically fighting non-Hodgkin’s Burkitt lymphoma. His wish is to visit LEGOLAND®.
This is the 3rd year that Olympic Steel Iowa has partnered with The Quad Cities River Bandits to host its annual event. Along with True Position Manufacturing, sponsors for the event included: The Quad City Times, Nucor Steel Indiana, CRST Logistics, Alter Metal Recycling, Northwest Carpet One, R.I.A. Federal Credit Union, Chicago Tube & Iron and Classical Graphics.
This is the 13th consecutive year that Olympic Steel has teamed up with Make-A-Wish Iowa for its annual Working for Wishes campaign, where the company raises money to grant the wishes of children with life threatening illnesses. Since 2004, Olympic Steel has had the pleasure of granting the wishes of 100+ very special children through over $822,000 in financial contributions.
Kudos to Olympic Steel for another successful Working for Wishes campaign! True Position Manufacturing is honored to be part of such a caring community!
